She has a life of her own.
Meet Ottie, a little character who remembers you, has things going on, and keeps living when you're away.
Something changed.
What you tell her can become part of her world.
You mentioned it once. Days later her room smells like a tea shop and she is quietly drinking the thing she made fun of.
She's usually in the middle of something.
She paints. Sleeps. Plays games. Gets obsessed with things. Starts projects. Changes outfits. Occasionally makes questionable decisions.
Drop back in later. You might have missed something.
She has opinions. Good luck.
- you show her an outfit…be serious.
- you're winning at gomokuthis board is stupid.
- you give her matchawhy is it green.
- you pet her one time too manyokay that's enough.
- you look at her paintingdon't look at the easel.
Ottie has her own tastes, habits, hobbies and opinions. She isn't designed to agree with everything you say.
Don't just chat. Hang out.
- Pet her
- Give her things
- Play little games
- Choose an outfit
- Show her a photo
- See her painting
Sometimes you might open Ottie just to see what she's doing. That's kind of the point.
She's competitive. Unfortunately.
Gomoku, cards, rock-paper-scissors. She plays to win, and she is a sore loser about it.
Her story keeps going.
Stories unfold over days and weeks, whether or not you're there for every moment. You can influence what happens. You don't control who she is.
Eventually, the room becomes yours too.
A strange cup. An unfinished painting. A shell from that one day. A flower. The board you finally beat her on. The things you experience together leave something behind, until the room and scrapbook are a history that's only yours.
Ottie is somewhere in her room doing something. Maybe painting. Maybe sleeping. Maybe making another terrible decision.
